Description Pradeep KM 2002-02-28 08:39:43 UTC
The latest version of GNOME 2.0 was built on Red Hat Linux 7.1.

Description:
The decimal '.' (dot) is displayed incorrectly when typed from the
calculator numpad

Steps to reproduce:

1. start gnome-calculator
2. Click on any number (say 15)
3. Click on the '.' (dot)
4. The display shows '.15' instead of '15.'
5. However the display becomes alright when the next digit is pressed
(say 9, the display shows '15.9')

After a long debug session I found that this is because the entry is
set to use RTL-direction. The GtkEntry doesn't support aligning text
to the right side as of current. It looks like it won't be included
until Gtk+ 2.2.

Could a GtkTextView be used instead of a GtkEntry?
