I needed nothing to repet problem, it happens everytime. I think problem started when (unsuccesfully) attempted to add a new HDD. However this disk is not in the service right now, so I cannot imagine what might be the relation.

Please try the latest version of gnome-libs and gnome-core. You'll
find some packages you can try at http://www.gnome.org/~kmaraas
