Just run:
desktop-file-validate gnumeric.desktop
gnumeric.desktop: hint: value "Office;Spreadsheet;Science;Math;GNOME;GTK;" for key "Categories" in group "Desktop Entry" contains more than one main category; application might appear more than once in the application menu

I know it's just a warning but please remove this entry from MimeType!

This is a bug in desktop-file-validate, not in Gnumeric.

Please arrange to have it fixed there, if you can.
