the messages below are printed to the terminal when starting Evolution.

    GLib-WARNING **: GError set over the top of a previous GError or uninitialized memory.
    This indicates a bug in someone's code. You must ensure an error is NULL before it's set.
    The overwriting error message was: Sie müssen online arbeiten, um diesen Vorgang abzuschließen

I meant Evolution-Data-Server build from 4615a98c. Evolution is stock 3.12.1.

There landed more fixed during the last week, and I think the IMAPx part of the change for bug #720154 will address this error re-use as well. Better to check with 3.12.2, to be released the next week.

I do not see any such error on console with current git master, neither 3.12.11. What about yours 3.12.9, please?

I just spotted a similar bug report, also mentioning POP3, thus I mark this as a duplicate of it and will update the other bug version appropriately.
