On this page, you can test two features of the ad blocker:

And, using Epiphany, "element hiding" doesn't work while it works on Firefox.

I guess that explains why some videos with advertisements never start playing, but I'm not sure it's related...

Yes, using ContentExtensions content hiding can be done. You can check
