Forgot to specify processor is AMD 64Bit.
Had a similar bug dealing with memory. I do not know whether this is related to Jerry's report. Since I can't figure out how to add a new bug (first time), I'll append this here. On Trusty in 32 bit VM, blue fish showed a "too large allocation" error. It is detailed below: dan@ubuntu:~/.bluefish$ /usr/bin/bluefish error reading list 1 Error opening file: No such file or directory ** (bluefish:14092): WARNING **: no configfile rcfile-2.0, try to convert config files from older versions config file migration error 1:Error opening file: No such file or directoryerror reading list 1 Error opening file: No such file or directory (bluefish:14092): GLib-ERROR **: /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.40.0/./glib/gmem.c:103: failed to allocate 4135696970 bytes Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped) Finally tracked it down to the following line in .bluefish/session-2.0 recent_dirs: file:/// Removing this line, bluefish would load without issue.
this last bug has been fixed in 2.2.6, unfortunately Ubuntu has not updated it's bluefish version, so many users now are stuck with a bluefish version that does not start anymore. The bug is also reported in the ubuntu bug tracking system, please report this to ubuntu, I hope they will include the fix in 14.04...
Hi, if this ticket is still valid in a recent version of Bluefish, then please report this under https://sourceforge.net/p/bluefish/tickets/ as GNOME Bugzilla is not used anymore by the Bluefish developers - thanks a lot!
