Description antistress 2014-04-17 16:41:14 UTC
Hi,

In image editing pane, after clicking onto an option to replace the generic pane with a dedicated one, I can't go back to the generic one by clicking the dedicated arrow button at the bottom left of the pane.

I can click onto the button but it has no effect.

I'm running Linux debian 3.13-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.13.10-1 (2014-04-15) x86_64 GNU/Linux with gthumb 3:3.3.1-2 and libgtk-3-0 3.12.0-4

Thanks

The button that doesn't work

That's not the back button, that's the button to restore the default values.

Indeed !

Although, in that context, I find that usual button to be ambiguous.

Thanks

But I think that it's because the bottom pane was hidden the "cancel" button
Comment 5 antistress 2014-04-19 15:50:51 UTC
Sorry, I keep on thinking about it.

Usually that button means "undo" and sits rather on the top of an UI
see for instance http://www.pitivi.org/i/screenshots/archive/0.91.png

1°) I'm not sure that this button is often used to mean "retore defaults" and 2°) having this precise button at the bottom left of the pane seems to say "hey, click on me to go back to the former pane"

Therefore I think either a more appropriate button should be used or a label

In version 3.4.1 this button has "Reset" as its tooltip text.
