Description Oleksandr Gituliar 2014-04-17 09:30:16 UTC
When I browse a PDF document [1] in "Fit Page" zoom mode (for other modes I observe the same behavior) and follow some link within a document, i.e. go to other page, a zoom mode changes to "Fit Width" value. I assume that zoom mode value should remain unchanged, e.g. in my case "Fit Page".

Pdf specification gives links the possibility of changing the zooming of the document when clicking on them... So most probably this is the problem you are hitting.

Indeed, this is a duplicate of Bug 611984.

As Carlos pointed out there:

"This is not a bug, the outline links are FitH destinations that
 accoding to the PDF spec:

"Display the page designated by page, with the vertical
coordinate top positioned at the top edge of the window
and the contents of the page magnified just enough to fit
the entire width of the page within the window"

Acroread does exactly the same."

And the PDF linked has the same, for example:

<</Type/Annot
/T(cite.Zer92)
/Rect [151 642 157 654]
/Border [1 1 1[]]
/C [0 0 1]
/Dest [30 0 R /FitH 791]
/Subtype/Link>>endobj
31 0 obj
