Description Jim Nelson 2014-04-15 21:02:01 UTC
If an event is updated by another user and delivered via an .ics file (for example, an event's time moves or the description is changed), California will parse and import the updated information without error, but the event itself doesn't update in the UI. Only when California is restarted will the new information be visible. It's possible this is a Google Calendar and/or CalDAV problem; I've not tested it with other variations.

Because updates made remotely (i.e. through Google Calendar's web interface) are reflected in California, so my current hunch is that this is related to EDS, but more investigation is necessary.

I should add that if the event is cancelled and sent to the user as an .ics, that is reflected properly in California. It's only when details are altered.

California is not under active development anymore and saw its last non-cosmetic code changes in March 2016: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/california/commits/master

Its codebase has been archived in https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/california/issues/1

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of GNOME Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.

You may want to use `gnome-calendar`.
