Description Michael Catanzaro 2014-04-14 01:02:33 UTC
If I run 'gnome-software --mode=updated' or click Review Updates when I receive a notification after I've rebooted and successfully installed updates, GNOME Software displays a spinner with the text "Checking for Updates." This doesn't seem right. I guess it's checking for the updates that were installed, but that's very confusing and makes me think it is searching for new updates online.

I'm using GNOME Software 3.12.1 (from the copr)

It's actually getting the update details of the things you installed; but I agree this isn't a nice user experience.

I think this has been fixed here: https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-software/commit/?id=3fe4121. Now the "Checking for Updates" spinner is not visible because it's obscured with the dialog box loading/showing the update history. Previously the dialog box has been shown only after the update history had been loaded. The fix should be present in 3.18 and F23.
