Description Mark Blakeney 2014-04-10 22:46:40 UTC
Google chrome beta on linux (arch x64 for me) updated yesterday to version 35.0.1916.27 (from 34.) and now extensions.gnome.org reports "We cannot detect a running copy of GNOME ..".

The extensions site has always worked with google chrome beta previously.

Confirm. I use Chromium, built with new Aura interface and it has disabled all NPAPI plugins. So the solution may be to provide the PPAPI plugin with Gnome Shell along with NPAPI plugin, or just add another way to install plugin from site (e.g. direct download link).
