The banners that we display for featured applications could be more engaging. The current banners have a few issues in this regard:

 * They are all quite similar in design - which doesn't maintain or generate interest.
 * Visually, they don't tell you much about the app - all you get is an icon.
 * The text doesn't sell the app; it just briefly says what it does.

To address these issues, I think we need to have a unique visual design for each banner and write the text for each banner ourselves.

For reference, Jakub came up with a concept for one banner earlier today:

Yup, I'm happy changing the banner size, but would need new pixbufs for all the other apps too.
