Description Walter Garcia-Fontes 2014-04-09 07:08:40 UTC
When Rhythmbox is launched the volume slider is all the way down so that the volume is off by default. The volume control does work but it has to be moved up each time the application is used to have sound.

This bug with the volume control dissapears once music is stored for it to find in the music folder. I re-booted the computer, re-launched Rhythmbox and the volume was just as I left it. I have no idea why the program would not remember the volume setting before the music folder was populated but it does retain the setting once the media is there.

This isn't the right place to do this, and it's also not the right way to do it. Look at how the 'volume_applied' field in the player backends works. Maybe it doesn't do the right thing any more, but that just means it should be fixed.
