Fastmail, like Gmail, generally prefers archiving rather than deleting. Just as geary shows an archive and delete button when browsing mail in a gmail account, the same should be true of fastmail accounts. Instead, only a delete button is present, leaving archiving to be done with the "Move into folder" feature.
