When scan / rename file from file tags easytag 2.1.10 renames file even if another file with same name already exists. It results in loss of files. 

easytag 2.1.7 raised a message forbiding it. 

2.1.7 has intended behavior.

Thanks for the bug report. I fixed this on master as commit a84d6677a63fe65e2ec871e4b7432163683a1b49. There should be another release in a few weeks containing the fix.
