GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 726411
Play queue isn't filled (2.6.1 -> 2.6.2 regression?)
Last modified: 2020-03-17 10:00:18 UTC
Created attachment 272003 [details] Log file When I choose any of the non-manual settings to fill the play queue, it is not filled when I press "refresh" or "add more", and neither is it filled when the current play queue is exhausted.
Please can you explain the bug answering these simple questions: Steps to reproduce the bug? Expected results? Current results? Can you also tell us if there's a version of banshee in which this bug doesn't happen? Thanks
To reproduce: 1. Clear play queue. 2. Set "Fill by" to anything other than "manually" 3. Press "Add more" or "Refresh buttons" Expected behaviour: music added to play queue. Actual behaviour: Nothing visible happens. This worked in 2.6.1, before I upgraded from Ubuntu 13.10 to the Trusty alpha build.
Thanks
It happened to me too. In Trusty with Banshee 2.6.2. What I had tried, is clear the list and rescan the DB. And now when I like to use the play queue I need to change to another playlist and select again the one that I like. I must do it every time I start Banshee for the first time.
Confirming bug due to many users being affected.
It is happening to me as well. With Banshee 2.6.2 on Ubuntu 14.04. I opened another bug file with details here (I did before coming across this bug): https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=747430
Update: I uninstalled Banshee 2.6.2 and installed 2.6.1 and the Play Queue is working fine.
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
