Description Allan Day 2014-03-14 10:32:56 UTC
network-wired-offline-symbolic has an orange exclamation mark in one corner. This makes it look like an error. However, the interface might be intentionally offline - for instance if the user turned it off.

The other offline icons use an X in one corner. This might be more appropriate.
