GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 725882
Allow ordering of WiFi connections
Last modified: 2014-03-07 10:26:23 UTC
One of the features I would like to see in NM is to allow ordering of WiFi connections, such that I can specify a certain WiFi access point as having a higher preference to others. The reason for asking this, is because at home I have a personal WiFi, but there are also various other WiFi access points visible. Most importantly in this case, is two public WiFi networks (WiFree, FON) that I have access to that covers large parts of the country. Normally when I'm at home, I obviously want to connect to my personal WiFi network. But when I'm about I want it to use the public WiFi. Right now, NM may elect to use the public WiFi network when I'm at home, and the only way to prevent that is to delete the public WiFi network.
