Description Mike 2014-03-05 09:34:22 UTC
The duration of a CD will be listed correctly in SoundJuicer, but the resulting MP3 (MPEG Layer 3 Audio) will have a different and larger duration in other applications.

This is with SoundJuicer 3.4.0 from Debian wheezy (stable).

In Movie Player and VLC, the end time will be larger, but change to a smaller duration (normally it is expected the duration to be a fixed time and does not change). In Rhythmbox, the song durations will be large and fixed. Scrolling past the actual duration will jump to next song.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug, unfortunately it is a bug in the GStreamer library that sound-juicer uses. For more details see bug 675275. It is always a good idea to have a quick search in bugzilla before reporting a new bug to check if it has already been reported by someone else, although it's not always easy to find other reports if their titles describe the problem differently.
