Description Allan Day 2014-03-03 15:34:25 UTC
Testing in GNOME continuous today: in the system status menu, the wired network status reads "Wired connection 1". This isn't useful.

Ideally the status text should indicate the status, with a string like "Connected" or "No signal" or "No internet access".

NetworkMenu: use Connected instead of profile name for wired and wwan

The profile name is most often not useful (because it's an
autogenerated string like "Wired Connection 1"), and even when it
is, it's already available in the submenu.
