app-folders and notification boxes boundaries are not clear in dark backgrounds

screenshot is enough to show the issue.

i am using the default black-noise background, and black is a very common color for wallpapers anyway. 

utilities folder is open, but since there aren't borders, it's confusing.

maybe i should file this in themes?
