GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 724973
Billing term on invoice page is not greyed out
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:27:09 UTC
A billing term can only be chosen at the creation step of an invoice, it can't be changed afterwards. I run GnuCash 2.6.1 on Mac OS 10.7 (Lion). 1. Define some billing terms 2. Create a new invoice and choose one of the billing terms in this "New invoice" window. 3. Save the file Afterwards the billing terms ("Bedingungen") in the "Rechnungs-Information" frame keep as drop-down list with all pre-defined options. But changing it, does not trigger the file status to "unsaved". It does not do anything. Printing also shows the "original billing term". Re-opening the file also shows the "original billing term". Either this functionality is intended, than the "original billing term" should be shown in gray (like the opened date). Or the billing term should be fully integrated into the save cycle. I would prefer the second variant. ;-) Thanks for your great work!
Yes, it should be in gray. It is not editable from the main Invoice page. The way to change it is to "Edit" the invoice. From the toolbar on the Invoice page click on "Edit" and then from there you can edit the bill terms. I'll leave this open becaus eyou are right that the terms should be grey on the invoice page.
Thank you for this hint. Yes, this way works fine for permanently changing the bill term. But back on the main Invoice page, the bill term is left blank, if the bill term was changed in the "Edit invoice" window.
Is this still an issue? There have been man updates to this part of GnuCash since this bug was filed.
Further searching reveals this is probably a duplicate of 759294 which was fixed with commit 35b5d9448. So I'm closing this bug. Please re-open if you feel this dos not resolve the issue. Thanks for taking the time to report this. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 759294 ***
