GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 724914
Two blank CD's and DVD's device notifications
Last modified: 2015-10-12 23:50:10 UTC
When inserting a blank CD or DVD in the disc tray, the device shows up twice in the message tray. See screenshot attached. Tested on Fedora 20 (gnome-shell 3.10.3) and Arch Linux (gnome-shell 3.10.4). This might have something to do with https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=680316

As with gnome-shell 3.12.0, the *first* time you insert a blank CD/DVD the notification shows up. After that, no automatic notification shows up again if you insert a blank optical media again.
gnome-shell 3.14.x If you set up manually on System Settings -> Details -> Removable Media -> Other Media a proper application for blank disks (such as Brasero) the pop-up notification appears... twice.

Update: now no notifications appear at all with gnome shell 3.16.2
