enter 2014/1/1 in A1
it shows as a date
save as xlsx
reopen
A1 now shows 41640

guess: any value format gets lost because Excel doesn't have that concept.

This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report.
