It is streched over the whole screen on a real window manager (read: tiling) and looks rather awkward.

Added a simple patch that adds dialog hinting to the splash screen. Tested it with awesome wm, seems to work for me.

Well, I can't reproduce the problem so I can't test it, but I've applied the patch as being at least harmless. It will be in 2.6.12, but you can test from git source in the meantime.

I tested git-e4a249d94edd56c8c56a6062f7f00c4643dd8081 and it seems to work as expected under awesome-wm. I'll leave it up to other people to test under other tiling window managers.
