GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 723620
No onscreen keyboard shown on hardware with no keyboard
Last modified: 2017-07-19 13:02:43 UTC
On my tablet hardware, it seems that GNOME does not offer me an option to enter characters unless I explicitly make it happen myself, i.e. activate the onscreen keyboard through the Universal Access menu. I expected GNOME to just work^tm. More precisely: To enable the soft keyboard if I don't have any keyboard. That issue is especially annoying when trying to connect to a password protected wifi network.
What's the output of: gdbus introspect --session --dest org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.Cursor --object-path /org/gnome/SettingsDaemon/Cursor after using the touchscreen on that system?
sorry, I don't the hardware on me :-\ It's that Exo PC Slate and I've just installed Fedora 20 on it.
