GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 723536
Nautilus is looking bad when displaying large thumbnails
Last modified: 2014-02-03 17:08:16 UTC
Created attachment 267951 [details] [ ^ screenshot of the bug ] Hi, Nautilus is looking bad when displaying large thumbnails. This is because of too much spacing around thumbnails. Also, because of a low amount of columns available. How to reproduce : ================== - Open Files ( Nautilus ). - Go to a folder with document having thumbnails. - Enlarge thumbnails to max ( View Option 'V' button , Zoom in , Ctrl+ or Ctrl+Mousewheel ) Result : ======== You can see a low amount of columns and experience how it's not optimal to watch the thumbnails of your folder ( ex : windowed or maximised on a 1920px screen ; you can get only 2 columns max. ) Expected result : ================= Screenshot in attachment. A comparison of shotwell thumbnails to Nautilus : with similar geometry size, this one can display up to 4 columns while Nautilus display only 1.
