Description clif 2002-02-22 19:50:00 UTC
Package: panel
Version: 1.4.0.4
Severity:

>Synopsis: panels crashed after upgrade from RH6.2
>Class: sw-bug
System: Redhat 7.2,

>Description:
I just upgraded from RH 6.2 (pretty vanilla) to
RedHat 7.2 (vanilla so far).

When I started X, it suggested I should upgrade
to the new settings. I took all defaults.

Everything was fine. Aside from a couple missing
pixmap files that weren't migrated yet.

Rebooted system, and logged back in (text login)
started x (startx), and started getting the panel
error messages.

There actually is an empty buttonbar at the bottom
of the screen, but it vanishes with the last crash
message.

>How-To-Repeat:
startx, with a fairly vanilla config file.
