Description Bastien Nocera 2014-01-17 15:05:02 UTC
On the front page of youtube.com, if you're logged in, you can see videos shared with by people on Google+.

(As a note, being able to see one's own playlists and videos, would also be useful, the above is more interesting in the short-term though)

Sounds like it could be interesting. Maybe there could be a Shared view, similar to Documents:

Also, it would be nice to think of other online services that this could plug into.

How should those videos be listed? As a new category (named 'Shared') in the youtube top-level source?

For example. We'd need to see what sources we can show for the user themselves (Shared with, Playlists, Watch Later, Recommended or Subscriptions are the ones that come to mind).

We'll probably need to allow configuring which categories to show within the YouTube plugin too. The current feeds are mostly useless to most users, it's not how people use YouTube (either they have their own curated data feeds, or they search).

Well, it must be noted that current source is how a user without a Youtube account would see the videos.

I guess what we really need is a 'personal' source, that is, the Youtube content that a logged user would see.
