GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 722236
Use unity-control-center if running under Unity
Last modified: 2015-01-19 11:33:34 UTC
Created attachment 266323 [details] [review] Use unity-control-center if in Unity In Ubuntu 14.04 the system settings will be managed by unity-control-center instead of gnome-control-center [1]. This is done so the Ubuntu GNOME team can use newer versions of gnome-control-center without conflicting with Unity. The attached patch allows gnome-media to use the unity-control-center when running under Unity, please consider it for inclusion. Thanks! gnome-media has been obsolete since the release of GNOME 3, nearly 4 years ago. Furthermore, the gnome-sound-recorder program in gnome-media has been replaced by the stand-alone, rewritten, gnome-sound-recorder program which has a different interface. The new program should not be affected by the bugs you filed, however, please make sure to file new bugs against the gnome-sound-recorder product.
