Comparison of EOG to Geequie

When looking at an image with very fine lines, the zoom out quality is quite bad, even when "smooth images when zoomed out" is selected.

See the screenshot, and a comparison to the same image viewed in the "Geeqie" image viewer.

This is due to a lack of bilinear filtering when scaling the image. We have a known issue with cairo here which although it is told to apply bilinear filtering upon scaling only does nearest neighbor filtering.
