Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2014-01-08 14:37:04 UTC
By default, remote images do not get loaded and that's a sane security/privacy approach.

In the real world though, it would help users tremendously if showing images for an individual message was not "hidden" into the "View > Load images" menu. I know that my auntie will never look for that :)

I would suggest showing an infobar at the top of the message pane, with a label that says something like "This message contains remote images." and a "Load images" button.

I did this within bug #236994, thus I mark this as a duplicate of it.
