GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 721793
When there are remote images embedded in an HTML email, show an infobar allowing to load them
Last modified: 2015-03-30 13:19:01 UTC
By default, remote images do not get loaded and that's a sane security/privacy approach. In the real world though, it would help users tremendously if showing images for an individual message was not "hidden" into the "View > Load images" menu. I know that my auntie will never look for that :) I would suggest showing an infobar at the top of the message pane, with a label that says something like "This message contains remote images." and a "Load images" button.
I agree. Will try to get to this for 3.12.

So did this happen? If not, Target Milestone should be bumped / removed.
I did this within bug #236994, thus I mark this as a duplicate of it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 236994 ***
