Description smartfool76 2014-01-02 12:20:35 UTC
On opening Gnucash 2.6.0, the splash screen comes and disappears without opening the application on Mac OSX Mavericks.
2.4.13 version works perfectly without any issues.

On running it from the command line, I get the below error:

Application Path /Applications/Gnucash 2.app/Contents/MacOS/./Gnucash-bin

(process:587): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
	Using the fallback 'C' locale.
Trace/BPT trap: 5

I followed the workaround and still it is not working.

Now I get just the below error.

Trace/BPT trap: 5

OK. Attach a crash report:

The workaround suggested in the bug 721260 which has a link to http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Locale_Settings#GnuCash_2.4.0_or_newer does not work.

However, the workaround suggested in bug 721259 i.e., defaults write -app Gnucash AppleLocale en_GB works for me.

Thanks
