GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 721127
When gnome-control-center-signon - fail gracefully
Last modified: 2014-01-03 20:59:03 UTC
Currently, selecting Publish or CTRL+SHIFT+P will do nothing on my system (gnome-ubuntu 13.10). The reason is (I think) that Shotwell was built for a specific Ubuntu account handling thing, and now when dependencies are missing, I just get an error on the command line output: (shotwell:26646): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_app_info_get_commandline: assertion 'G_IS_APP_INFO (appinfo)' failed (shotwell:26646): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_spawn_command_line_async: assertion 'command_line != NULL' failed I would suggest a GTK dialog saying "Sorry, couldn't start Gnome account handling -- not installed." Cheers, Benjamin
I forgot to add, that this is a normal problem: https://encrypted.google.com/search?hl=en&q=shotwell%20g_app_info_get_commandline%3A%20assertion%20%27G_IS_APP_INFO%20%28appinfo%29%27%20failed
