GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 720774
killall networkmanager keeps other NM launched processes running, preventing it from being started again
Last modified: 2014-11-18 21:13:54 UTC
As reported downstream at: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=493632 Killing NM doesn't kill its child processes like dhcpcd, causing it to fail to restart properly, is this intended? (it worked in 0.9.6.4 but it's broken in 0.9.8.8) Thanks
The signal-handling code changed in 0.9.8, but I'm pretty sure this still works right on Fedora... What signal are you sending to kill NM? And what does NM log when this happens?
