Text tool activation without issues, but when I write some text (no matter of on canvas or through editor) shortcuts will be followed:

If I type "E", GIMP exits the text tool and swaps into Ellipse drawing. And so on.. I cannot produce any valid text!

How can I set the text tool to remain active and ignore the key shortcuts? I am sure this is some small silly setting, but I am going crazy...

(maybe something to do with Mavericks?)

This is fixed in 2.8.10 source version, still working on getting a release out...
