GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 720292
plugging any Samsung mobile S2 & S4 hang Banshee
Last modified: 2018-07-29 22:43:51 UTC
Cannot transfer any music out of Banshee to my mobiles as it hangs as soon as I plug it in. Have attached the log file. Thanks, Leo
Hmm, I don't see any log file attached here though.
This seems similar to the fault I am encountering details below. I have an LG Nexus 5 phone running Andriod 4.4.3 and a laptop with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS installed. When attached via USB2 or USB3 I can mount the file system on the phone without issue and can manually transfer files but this is not the rich functionality that I'm after. I have tried using Banshee 2.6.2 to sync music and playlists but as soon as I attach my phone Banshee hangs and tells me: "Oops! Something went wrong. Unhandled error message: No such interface 'org.gtk.vfs.Mount' on object at path /org/gtk/vfs/mount/1 " Any advice on solving the issue or recommend an alternative software package that will offer the same functions would be appreciated?
I wonder if we are experiencing the same issue. My Samsung S4 connects to my debian testing box via mtp just fine, however when I load up banshee it bails and spits out "usbfs: process 9898 (events) did not claim interface 0 before use"
Chances are that the bugfix for bug 729438 fixed this too, can anyone test banshee master?

No reply for more than four years, so I'm closing this bug report as no further information has been provided.
