With the developer set to 'Camera', when importing an RAW+JPEG pair from a camera, Shotwell needlessly extracts the embedded preview, then deletes it.

Determine the exposure date of a RAW+JPEG pair that have _not_ been imported yet. 2. Place the pair of files from step one onto a removable storage medium with a DCIM directory, such that Shotwell will treat them as coming from a camera. 3. In a file manager, navigate to the library subdirectory for the date computed in step one. 4. Launch Shotwell. 5. While carefully watching the directory from step three, choose to import the paired files from the 'camera' in step two and observe the results.
