Last modified: 2009-08-15 18:40:50 UTC
Product - glade for gnome-2.0alpha2 Version - 1.1.0 I have downloaded the latest code from cvs on 12/12/02. Reproducibility : Always Steps to reproduce : 1) Start Glade - Open gnome terminal and type the command 'glade-2'(for gnome-2.0 alpha). Glade starts successfully. 2)Make sure that its palette winodow is opened. Otherwise select the option 'View:Show palette' option to displaye the palette window. 3) Make sure that 'Settings:Show tooltips' option enable in the glade main window. Othersise, make it enable. 4) Make the mouse pointer hovers over any widget under any meny say 'GTK+' menu in the palette window. 5) The result is tooltips about the selected widget is displayed. 6) Disable the checkbox 'Settings:Show tooltips' in the glade main window menu bar. 7) Repeat the step 4. 8) The result is, it is still displaying tooltips about the selected widget. ) 'Display' tab as an active tab. click on the 'browse' button to select the new font. A window with title 'pick up font' opened. After selecting a new font, click on the 'OK' button in the window.
The 'Show Widget Tooltips' option is not for tooltips of Glade itself. It is for tooltips of the widgets that you create in your interface. You may not want to see these as you are designing the interface as they can get in the way. Maybe we should have an option to disable Glade's own tooltips as well. I don't know. Anyway, marking as NOTABUG.
