---- Reported by shotwell-maint@gnome.bugs 2011-10-11 12:49:00 -0700 ----

Original Redmine bug id: 4246
Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/4246
Searchable id: yorba-bug-4246
Original author: Ilya Trickov
Original description:

Thumbnails appear darker than images. This behaviour is related to the fact
that they are generated from raw images and not from corresponding JPEGs.

I'm on debian, using shotwell 0.11.2, libraw version 0.13.8-1. Tested with NEF
images.

Comment 1 Jens Georg 2016-10-09 17:52:41 UTC
Issue is that shotwell always manually develops raw files for thumbnails, no matter if they contain a preview image or not.

This is somewhat related to the import speed issues with raw files

https://git.gnome.org/browse/shotwell/log/?h=wip/faster-import should solve this
