on X windows start up I get an error screen:

 "Application "panel" has crashed due to a fatal error (Segmentation fault)"

Program "panel" will start and run after that, if started from a console. 

>How-To-Repeat:
booted into Redhat Linux 7.2. System is setup to boot to level 5.
