GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 716836
Implement Geocoding using Google Maps
Last modified: 2016-09-20 19:45:51 UTC
---- Reported by shotwell-maint@gnome.bugs 2010-09-17 04:13:00 -0700 ---- Original Redmine bug id: 2570 Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/2570 Searchable id: yorba-bug-2570 Original author: Fred van Zwieten Original description: It would be nice to have an easy way to geocode the photo's. I suggest to have a Google map come up from a menu select where the user can search for locations. When the user pin's a location the geocode of this location will be stored in the photo metadata. If the photo is already geocoded, the map should come up with the geocoded location in the center. Also batch-geocoding must be possible (operate on selection of photo's) ---- Additional Comments From shotwell-maint@gnome.bugs 2012-03-01 04:32:00 -0800 ---- ### History #### #1 Updated by andreas - almost 3 years ago See an actual implementation of an OSM-based map widget in #2875 #### #2 Updated by Sam Wilson over 1 year ago I'd vote for OSM (and #2875) over Google maps any day! :-) --- Bug imported by chaz@yorba.org 2013-11-25 21:47 UTC --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 2570 at http://redmine.yorba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2570 Unknown Component Using default product and component set in Parameters Unknown version " in product shotwell.
