GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 716567
Doesn't show image files without extension
Last modified: 2021-05-19 12:09:46 UTC
---- Reported by shotwell-maint@gnome.bugs 2010-08-17 01:37:00 -0700 ---- Original Redmine bug id: 2424 Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/2424 Searchable id: yorba-bug-2424 Original author: Alexander Hunziker Original description: I have a number of JPG files on my disk which don't have the JPG extension. With most Linux image viewers that's not a problem, as they determine file types no matter whether there is an extension or not. Nautilus launches Shotwell Viewer when I click on such an image, because Nautilus recognises it as a JPG, and JPGs are associated with Shotwell Viewer on my system, but then Shotwell viewer complains that I cannot handle this file. Renaming the file by adding an extension fixes the problem --- Bug imported by chaz@yorba.org 2013-11-25 21:46 UTC --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 2424 at http://redmine.yorba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2424 Unknown Component Using default product and component set in Parameters Unknown version " in product shotwell.
