I notice there wasn't a right-click or left-click "empty trash". I had to use
the shift-key-arrowkeys to highlight the messages then press delete.

It would be good to support the "Purge Wastebasket" preferences found in the control centre, or duplicate those prefs for Geary, so that messages older than the user-selected n days are automatically deleted.
