---- Reported by geary-maint@gnome.bugs 2013-01-05 14:36:00 -0800 ----

Original Redmine bug id: 6186
Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/6186
Searchable id: yorba-bug-6186
Original author: Tiago Quelhas
Original description:

If too many attachments are added to a message in the compose window, it grows
without bound until it overflows the screen; the compose window then cannot be
resized down unless some attachments are removed.

A nicer behavior would be to limit the size of the attachment area to some
percentage of the screen height, and show a scrollbar if it becomes too big.

This is a larger change than we can accept in 0.3. Let's see if we can improve
this in 0.4.

One proposal is to list attachments from left-to-right (perhaps RTL for those
languages), since we're only displaying the file title. It would layout a lot
like the way tags are displayed in some web site. They could flow according to
the width of the compose window.

To the right (left?) of each attachment is an [X] to remove the attachment
from the email.

Still, as Tiago points out, we should limit the size of the display by making
it a scrolling window inside of a viewport large enough that for common cases
the user can see all their attachments without resizing the window.

composer full of attachments

I confirm it on current Geary.

Attachments are piled up vertically one by one and some overflow the screen size.
As you can see in the attached screenshot, there's a big grey area between email body and attachment list: its vertical size should be reduced.

This should get fixed as part of Bug 778727.
