Original description:

Geary currently only supports SMTP PLAIN and LOGIN authentication schemes. On
top of NTLM/Kerberos (#6214), we should expand the authentication schemes to
include other commonly supported ones.

I'm closing this ticket as it's too broad.  SMTP authentication schemes that need to be supported should be ticketed individually.
