I cannot reproduce it. I guess my computer is not slow enough.
Mike, should we close this bug? I've never seen a similar complaint in the last years...
Comment 2 Michael Gratton 2017-12-04 06:46:57 UTC
The problem is basically that an account becomes open well before the folders are loaded from the database. The solution is probably to make the search UI sensitive when an account is selected that has a search folder, and insensitive otherwise, and hook it up to the Account.folders_available_unavailable and update this state when that signal is fired.

Probably a good newcomer's bug, so marking it as such.
Comment 3 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 13:25:46 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/geary/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
