Description David Woodhouse 2013-11-19 14:23:16 UTC
When bug 712681 happens, there's no indication in the UI that the calendar factory has gone AWOL and is no longer doing anything useful. It just silently fails to display meetings which have been added to my calendar.

Well, it's not the calendar factory, but the respective backend. With respect of UI feedback, the online/offline icons mentioned in bug #712681 are the starting point. I plan to do some drastic changes in the calendar part, which will also involve error propagation to UI, instead of printing on a console. I'm closing this as a duplicate of the above mentioned bug, because this is a subset of it, from my point of view.
