it & hu locales on Win32 need an updated GTK+ .dll version to include a fix.
Current GIMP 2.8.8 package contain GTK+ 2.24.18 that has this bug:

I do not think this is an enhancement (severity) in the installer, as fix a bug in open/save dialog window that affect current GIMP on Windows in it & hu locales.

2.24.20 include the locale fix:

No, it just happens to be the version that is current available from https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/windows:mingw:win32/mingw32-gtk2, and the official installer packages are created with the packages available from there.

can be closed as https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=560337 has GTK+ 2.24.23 so fix the problem on GIMP 2.8.14 on Win32 Italian locale

Can't be closed, as 2.8.14 ships with 2.24.23 that apparently has all sorts of bugs :)

The current updated 2.8.14 installer contains GTK+ 2.24.24, if this problem didn't reappear wit that version, we can finally resolve the bug report.

on the today file date, work well like previous 2.8.14 installer that contains GTK+ 2.24.23
