Description Denis Donici 2013-11-11 02:47:58 UTC
Open Clocks. Select New to add new location. Screen keyboard pops up. Start typing New York..First letter N.. a big list with bunch of cities that start with N pups up covering the keyboard. Now continuing typing pressed E(next letter) and selected a different city by mistake.
Expected behavior: The screen keyboard is always on top

With 3.22 the list is displayed above the entry, making it impossible to reproduce this bug with Clocks. The bug can however be reproduced with Epiphany: if one starts to type in the address bar suggestions from the history and bookmarks will appear and the list will cover the keyboard.

This bug happens only under X, not under Wayland.
Comment 5 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 14:34:03 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
